Includes the incredibly beautiful, fish-rich rivers around Gysinge Bruk and some of Färnebofjärden bay. Mainly known for its nice grayling fishing – these are Sweden’s southernmost waters with a natural grayling population. Grayling fishing is best from late summer and well into autumn. Sometimes a good time is just after the spring flood, from late May through June. The trout population is regularly replenished. River fishing is done from land. The fish have many hideouts, so you’ve got plenty of chances for a bite even if you’re not alone on the shore.
The less rapid waters have lots of pike, pike-perch and perch. The perch in particular are often numerous and unusually large. Other common species include eel, bream, ide and white bream. |
