Nedre Dalälven

The Nedre Dalälven collaboration started in 1986, when private and public players formed the Nedre Dalälven Special Interest Group (NeDa). The group promotes and preserves the whole region along the Nedre Dalälven river from Säter until it flows into the sea at Älvkarleby.

A subsidiary of the special-interest group, Nedre Dalälvens utvecklingsaktiebolag, conducts much of the group’s operative work, such as biological mosquito control.

The group is also involved in Leader development projects in the region and efforts to create a biosphere reserve.

Our office is in the heart of the region, by the lovely rapids at Gysinge Bruk. You’ll find us in the old pharmacy building right next to the country store.
