Hållnäs

HÅLLNÄS – THE UNKNOWN UPPLAND
Hållnäs is a peninsula on the northern coast of Uppland. The parish of
Hållnäs is an old region offering untouched nature and beautiful, well-preserved
cultural landmarks. The peninsula boasts 50 km (!) of coastline, with beaches,
boulders, old fishing villages and inlets thick with vegetation. There’s plenty
of space – we don’t know the meaning of the words stress and crowding! Spend the
night in a cabin, croft, wilderness tepee, fisherman’s cottage, pilot’s cottage
or at a campsite.
Drop in to Hållnäs during the “På tur i Hållnäs” festival or “Hållnäs
Week”, when the peninsula is bubbling with activity. Taste the local delicacies
– herring burgers and Hållnäs cheese – of visit the mysterious wolf pen in
Årböle…
We have everything from orchids and white-tailed eagles to flea markets and
Qi Gong!
Welcome to Hållnäs!
