Gammelstilla bruk

Visit a well-preserved ironworks from the 19th century. See the smithy, machine shop, carpentry shop and power station, which is still running. Iron was produced here as far back as the Middle Ages. A few kilometres from Gammelstilla is a pre-historic iron-production site, a kettle hole, a rubble field and more. Bredmossen is a Natura 2000 site with valuable wildlife. The bar-iron smithy (Stångjärnssmedjan) is used as a theatre and the brick storehouse (Tegelmagasinet) at the manor has art exhibits.
Open Saturdays and Sundays in July, 1–4 p.m.
